Pentobarbital can make birth control pills less effective. Avoid drinking alcohol. Alcohol can also add to sleepiness caused by pentobarbital.  Ask your doctor about using a non-hormone method of birth control (such as a condom, diaphragm, spermicide) to prevent while using pentobarbital.
